The Nippon Paint Young Designer Award (NPYDA) is organised by Nippon Paint and gives recognition to young, talented designers.

In 2010, the objective was to involve young designers and architects to raise the next generation to focus on new eco designs that increase efficiency of scarce resources and save energy and materials; reduce impact on human health and sustain or improve quality of life; minimise emission of toxic substances; and harmonise with the local climate and the surrounding environment.
